    Linux Server Support : FTP Manager
 
FTP Accounts : To transfer Files from the user's PC to the Remote Server.
Log In the cpanel
Click "FTP Manager"
Click "FTP Accounts"
Click "Add FTP Account"
Login: give the new username you want
Password: give the new password you want
Directory: give the name of the directory for which you need the new FTP details.(befor doing so, please read the directions.
Click "Create"
NOTE:
If the account was created, the following will appear (except user will be the username you have provided for the new account, and password will be the password you have provided for the new account) :"FTP Account Added!"
**Make sure to use usernames that are compatible with the FTP client that the user will be using to login to their FTP account.
You can allow users to connect to your anonymous FTP directory without having a password to login. This may be useful if you have files that you wish to be publicly available for download. Please note that allowing anonymous users to access any part of your system may be considered a security hole.
 
Setup Anonymous FTP Access:
Anonymous FTP access allows anyone to access your public_ftp folder.
There are two Options Available:
 
Allow anonymous access to ftp://ftp.yourdomain.com - This allows to view, download, and delete files from your public_ftp folder.
Allow anonymous upload to ftp://ftp.yourdomain.com/incoming - This allows to view, upload, download, and delete files from your public_ftp/incoming folder.
   
Warning: Anonymous FTP allows anyone access to a restricted area of your site. It is generally safest to not enable Anonymous FTP. If you do enable it, you are responsible for the bandwidth and space used.
   
Log In the cpanel
Click "FTP Manager"
Click "Anonymous FTP Access"
Click on the "Anonymous FTP Controls" link.
Click on the "Allow anonymous access to ftp://ftp.yourdomain.com" tick box or the "Allow anonymous upload to ftp://ftp.yourdomain.com/incoming" tick box. You must click on both tick boxes to enable uploads.
Click on the "Save Settings" button.
   
Delete anonymous FTP access:
 
To remove Anonymous FTP access:
Click on the "Ftp Manager" button on the home page.
Click on the "Anonymous FTP Controls" link.
Remove the tick from the "Allow anonymous access to ftp://ftp.yourdomain.com" tick box or the "Allow anonymous upload to ftp://ftp.yourdomain.com/incoming" tick boxes.
Click on the Save Settings button.
   
Anonymous FTP Message:
The message your visitors will see when they connect to your anonymous FTP server
 
Log In the cpanel
Click "FTP Manager"
Click "Anonymous FTP message"
Enter the message you want the visitos to see when they connect to your FTP manager
Click on the " save settings" button.
 
FTP Session Control:
This utility allows you to disconnect users or time out FTP sessions.
 
Log In the cPanel
Click "FTP Manager"
Click "FTP Session Control"
All active FTP sessions (FTP connections that are actively uploading or downloading files) are listed. Click on the "Delete" button next to a "session" to terminate that session
 
To add an FTP account:
Click on the Ftp Manager button on the home page.
Click on the FTP Accounts link.
Click on the Add Account link.
Enter the name of the FTP account in the Login field and the password for the account in the Password field.
Enter the path to the directory to which this FTP account has access.
Warning: If you enter the top-level of the web site by entering a slash (/), all users with the correct password will be able to add, edit, and delete all files on your site. It is advisable to limit an FTP account to a smaller section of your web site.
Click on the Create button.
Downloading an FTP log is useful for monitoring exactly what FTP actions have occurred on your domain.

Click on the FTP Accounts link.
Click on one of the URLs listed at the bottom of the window, or copy and paste that URL into an FTP client application.
 
To change a password on an FTP account:
Click on the Ftp Manager button on the home page.
Click on the FTP Accounts link.
Click on the Change Password button.
Enter the new password in the New Password field.
Click on the Change button.
 
To delete an FTP account:
Click on the Ftp Manager button on the home page.
Click on the FTP Accounts link.
Click on the Delete button.
